Dear Friends,

If you have been by the church, you know that Limerick Steeplejacks has been hard at work repairing the steeple. The work has consisted of scraping sanding and taking off rotted boards to be refabricated at the shop. Being a fan of this Old House, and if you ever watched an episode of Farm House Fixer you know what comes next.

Behind some of those boards they are finding more rot and damage that was not visible on the surface which equals more time, resources and money. We want to make sure that the job is done right and that the steeple will remain in place for years to come, and so the Church Council voted to continue with the repairs.

How does this affect the bottom line? Limericks is estimating that the job will cost an additional $8,000.00 maximum. The good news is that we have the money in the trust funds. However, while the market is doing so well we would prefer not to make another withdrawal.

This is where you come in. We NEED YOUR HELP to raise the additional money which will go directly to the steeple repair. The steeple is one way that we shine God’s light into the community. Unlike a lighthouse warning of danger, it is a sign of hope for a broken world. Will you please contribute to the steeple repair? If so, please send a check to the church office marked steeple repair or go on to the special Vanco link here.  No donation is too small and all donations ae appreciated.

Thank you for helping us to be good stewards to what God has given us.

In Christian Love,

Rev. Mike Gelsomini
